NOTE SPEAKER / LEGAL

Privacy Policy

Your reading belongs to you. This policy explains what Note Speaker processes on your device, when network services are involved, and the choices you have.

Draft prepared September 12, 2026 English
01

Who we are

Note Speaker is provided by Super Tools Technology Co., Limited (the company identity is awaiting confirmation for this draft). In this policy, ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ refer to the provider. This policy covers the Note Speaker iOS app and these legal information pages. Our privacy contact must be confirmed before this policy is published for customer use.

02

Content processed on your device

The app processes text you type or paste, text extracted from documents, and images you select or scan to provide text recognition and speech playback. OCR and speech generation run on your device. We do not upload your reading text, scanned pages or generated speech to our servers or a cloud speech-generation service, and we do not use that content to train shared AI models.

Your local library may contain document titles, extracted or edited text, generated audio, language and voice choices, and listening progress. The app also stores preferences, resource-download progress, first-use settings, and free-use counters locally. No separate Note Speaker account is required for reading.

03

Camera, photos, files and microphone

Camera access is requested when you choose to scan a page. Photos and files are accessed through the system selection or sharing interfaces when you select content. Scanned images are used for recognition; the extracted text can be saved in your library. Temporary scan and import files are used during processing. Deleting a reading does not delete the source document or photo in another app.

If your version includes an optional voice-sample recording feature and you choose to use it, microphone permission is requested for that recording. Samples and derived voice settings are processed locally. This disclosure does not mean personal-voice features are available in every version. Permission can be changed in iOS Settings; declining an optional permission does not prevent unrelated features from working.

04

Downloads and other network connections

Some speech models and dictionaries must be downloaded before use. The current implementation obtains resources from Hugging Face and, for certain dictionaries, GitHub, including their delivery infrastructure. These providers receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address, the requested resource, request time and network or client headers. Reading content is not included in these resource requests. Apple may handle system-voice downloads.

Purchases, restoring subscriptions, updates, opening external links and receiving support can also require a connection. ‘On-device’ does not mean every app activity is offline. Third-party services handle information under their own privacy policies.

05

Subscriptions and diagnostics

Apple processes App Store payments. Through StoreKit, the app checks product and subscription information, including purchase or expiration status and offer eligibility, to enable paid features. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Apple may also make sales reports or diagnostics available to us under its platform settings and policies.

The app may keep a limited local purchase diagnostic log containing timestamps, product identifiers, purchase state and error codes. The implemented log does not contain reading text, payment-card details or receipts and is not automatically uploaded by the app. If you send diagnostics to support, review them first and remove information you do not want to share.

06

Support and website information

If you contact us, we receive the email address, message and attachments you provide. We use them to answer your request, troubleshoot issues and maintain necessary support records. Please avoid sending sensitive documents or recordings unless they are needed for your request.

These legal pages do not include advertising pixels, behavioral analytics or content-upload forms. Website hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, requested pages, timestamps and browser information to deliver and protect the website. A private review version may require the hosting platform’s sign-in and associated essential cookies; that platform’s own privacy terms also apply.

07

How information is used and shared

We process information to provide requested features, manage subscription access, respond to support, prevent misuse and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The app does not include an advertising SDK.

Where information is held by us, it may be handled by service providers supporting hosting, communications or support, under appropriate obligations. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and safety, or in a business transfer subject to applicable law and privacy protections. None of these provisions gives us remote access to your device-only library.

08

Retention, deletion and backups

Local library content remains until you delete it or remove the app’s data. Use a reading’s menu to delete its text and associated audio; audio also referenced by another reading may be retained. ‘Clear saved audio’ removes generated audio while keeping texts. Removing downloaded models does not by itself delete your library. Local preferences and usage counters can remain after individual readings are deleted.

Device or computer backups may contain app data depending on your Apple settings and the type of data. Deleting an item in the app does not necessarily remove an existing backup or a copy exported elsewhere. Manage those copies through the relevant service. We do not operate a cloud library or a remote recovery service for your readings.

Support information held by us is retained only for as long as needed to resolve the request, maintain relevant records, comply with law or handle disputes, then deleted or de-identified. Provider logs and Apple transaction records follow the relevant provider’s retention rules.

09

Security and international processing

We use the iOS application sandbox and platform protections, and encrypted HTTPS connections for resource downloads. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device and backups, and consider the sensitivity of content before importing or sharing it.

Apple, download providers, hosting providers and support services may process connection or support information outside your country. Where we are responsible for a transfer, we apply safeguards required by applicable law. Your device-only reading library is not transferred to us merely because you use the app.

10

Your privacy choices and rights

You can edit or delete local readings, clear saved audio, control permissions, manage backups and choose whether to contact support. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information we hold, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy regulator. We will handle requests under applicable law and may reasonably verify your identity. We cannot retrieve, export or erase device-only content remotely.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on performing our agreement for requested services, legitimate interests for proportionate support and security, legal obligations for required records, and consent where required. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. Exercising privacy rights will not result in unlawful discrimination.

11

Children, changes and contact

Note Speaker is a general-purpose reading tool, not a service directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through support or this website. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action. Additional local age and parental-consent requirements may apply.

We will update this policy when our practices change and provide additional notice where required. A material change involving new uses of information will be handled as required by applicable law.

Privacy contact: awaiting confirmation. This draft is not ready to serve as the app’s published privacy policy.
